Smaller Groups, Bigger Benefits
Starting January 1, 2026. We’ll be reducing our off-leash groups from 6–8 dogs to 3–4 dogs.
This improvement allows for:
• More individual attention and tailored care
• Safer, calmer group dynamics
• Easier management for walkers
• Higher-quality socialization and closer observation
• We would like to recommend all clients to provide a harness for pick ups so we can provide the highest level of safety during transport.
Why We’re Making This Change
After consulting closely with the City of Edmonton, this pilot will help us gather valuable feedback and data on how smaller groups can:
• Improve safety and control during off-leash walks
• Create more personalized, enjoyable outings
• Support better community experiences in shared park spaces
New Scheduling for our Off-Leash Group Dog Walks
We will now offer three daily time blocks instead of two:
• 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM
• 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• 1:30 PM –4:00 PM
Times may vary slightly by area and traffic conditions.
Value & Pricing
To support the new small-group structure and rising operational costs, new prices will be effective January 1st, 2026.
Cancellations
Please confirm walks scheduled by 6:00 PM the day prior.
Cancellations after this time will be charged, as there are limited spots on each walk.
What Remains the Same
• Expert Care: Our team remains certified in dog behavior, First Aid, and CPR.
• Safe Transport: Pick-up and drop-off will continue in The Leash Team Dog Mobile.
• Our Commitment: We remain dedicated to being Alberta’s most trusted dog walking service always improving for you, your dog, and the community.
